
First, they divided up the land,
Made measurements, dug their trenches.
Posts popped up to help plants expand
And nets came down, as defenses.
Leaves grew; then grapes. Fruits plucked by hand,
Caressed into bottles. Quenches
Your thirsts: help you command, withstand,
push past those audience cringes
that you refuse to understand:
Some need their own private fences.
