The Dust Jacket: The Weekly List, January 5th to January 11th

It appears New York’s book stores and literary venues are coming out of their holiday hibernation- although it is a slower week than some, so I’m taking the time to include a note on some of the things I don’t include… every week, there are a lot of staged play readings. If there were one or two, I might throw them in as they are obviously closely related, but there are just too many! Sometimes I start leaving off the numerous chef talks because, I’m sorry, but how many cookbook talks really need to happen in a week? (Obviously, I don’t get the cultural obsession with the Food Network these days) Another one that shows up, that I’m always tempted to include? Just in the interest of fun- and honesty: Got Clutter?
