Are you thinking about how we, as a society, are going to handle the immense responsibility of genetic engineering? Jamie Metzl says you should be.
On November 4th at Barnes and Noble, he came to promote his book, The Genesis Code: A Thriller of the Near Future. First, though, he bopped through some of the scientific spoilers for the immediate future. It’s an interesting topic, and he certainly got the audience thinking. Since I don’t have the strongest scientific background, anyone interested would probably do better to read Metzler’s article, here.
Metzler was extremely energetic, delivering his science in small bites that the lay person could absorb, and eager to engage the audience and make it a real conversation.
Ideal Date: It’s kind of too easy, I know, but The Museum of Natural History.
