The Dust Jacket: The Weekly List, October 20th to October 26th

Another week of New York’s book-ly events to choose from. I know we’re all busy with Halloween coming up, but it seems a little slim to me… Let me know if you know of something I’m missing!

There’s the juggernaut of Zadie Smith and Lena Dunham. (Third time I will not be able to hear Zadie Smith speak in the past two years! Can I qualify for star-crossed something yet?) I’ve seen David Levithan speak and definitely recommend seeing him if you think you might be interested… of course, Stephen Merritt’s 101 2 Letter Words (I mean, Scrabble, and all….) would probably be next on my list, and they conflict! If I had the other type of four legged friend, I would very much want to hear all about that Catification, too. Alexis Coe’s Alice + Freda Forever sounds fascinating, and- oh yeah- the 92nd Y has a free celebration of Dylan Thomas. So, still not too shabby.
